Massive Attack has collaborated with actor Scarlett Johansson on the soundtrack of a thriller to be published in Mexico. Days of Grace (Days of Grace), directed by Everardo Gout, also features original music by Atticus Ross, Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, and Shigeru Umebayashi.
Dias de Gracia is a story of murder and kidnapping will be divided into three different stories, different authors scores of each narrative. Each segment will take place in different World Cup finals, in 2002, 2006 and 2010.
Bad Seeds Cave and Ellis made history in 2002 after leaving their course work on the proposal and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. "They created a piece that integrates nicely sounds, noises, urban and animals, which could only have been composed for them," he said.
Ross, who won an Oscar in February Trent Reznor's work is a social network score, composed the soundtrack for the story of 2006. "He worked for most of the feeling of fear," said the gout, "something more visceral, more primal."
Umebayashi, a Japanese composer who has worked with Wong Kar-wai, writes the "calm and sophisticated" music history in 2010.
The film also uses different versions of the classic jazz of George Gershwin Summertime as performed by Janis Joplin and Nina Simone. The show is the latest most original: a revision of the standard Johansson, and Massive Attack in Bristol. Johansson, who does not appear in the films of Tom Waits covers album released in 2008, and worked with Pete Yorn in 2009.
